Joanita Zachariassen

‘A small woman with a big voice’ is often how Joanita Zachariassen is described. Born in Uganda and raised in Denmark, Joanita is a gospel and soul singer full of life, energy, love, passion and a strong faith which transpires into everything she does. She has a vast musical repertoire and a wonderful ability to get audiences excited and energized because of her contagious energy, joy and sweetness. Joanita has been compared to Etta James and Nina Simone and in the same manner as these legendary women, she has proven that she can build bridges between various musical styles such as Afropop, Gospel, Soul, Funk and Pop with people from many different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds relating to and loving her music. Joanita has a Christian background and previously worked as a Gospel choir and worship leader in Denmark. Joanita is now working on her newest album “DAY DREAM“ which is to be released in 2019. Today Joanita is the most booked new upcoming artist in Denmark.
