Kirk Franklin returns to the Netherlands
It doesn’t matter if you ask a member of a gospel choir, an avid listener, rapper or any other music fan. Mention Kirk Franklin’s name and you’ll get a rapid-fire shoutout to a series of favorite songs in return. Footstompin’ audience favorites like ‘Revolution’ and ‘Stomp’ or uplifting audience anthems like ‘I Smile’ and ‘Wanna Be Happy?’… everyone gets moving at a Kirk Franklin concert! Through the years these deserved their status as some of the most energetic you’ve ever experienced. And Franklin, who started out as a church choir director, knows how to bring the crowd along; right until you sing and move along in high gear.
During his previous visit to Holland, Kirk shared the stage with Maverick City. On September 11 you get the chance to experience a full Franklin show with his songs! You better believe that will be an experience that surpasses music. Franklin’s songs bring the harsh reality of life and the hope in gospel music -thé Gospel- together. On his recent album ‘Father’s Day’ this became very personal to Kirk, who was adopted as a child. Some of the new songs reflect his discovery of his own biological father.
