Uli Schwenger wurde bereits als Teenager durch schwarze Gesangsstars wie Andrae Crouch, Jessy Dixon oder Calvin Bridges für Gospel-und Soulmusik inspiriert und begleitete demzufolge Chöre wie „Chorlight“, die Gospelchöre „Chocolate“ und „Celebration“ ebenso kongenial bei Kirchenkonzerten, Pop-Festivals und TV Produktionen wie z.B. bei Aufführungen des Musicals „Amazing Grace“. Seine virtuose wie warmherzige Spielweise großer Klavierstücke von J.S. Bach bis keith Jarrett qualifiziert ihn als perfekten Begleiter literarischer Konzertlesungen.
